What a rude song Willow’s Song is!
Archives for July 2009
During Rhubarb Radio’s coverage of the Supersonic festival, The Memory Band kindly came into our studio to be interviewed by Justin Kasey and to perform some music for us.
You can – and should – hear all that by visting Rhubarb Radio’s coverage page for Sunday. Don’t miss it.
One of the songs played was ‘Willow’s Song’, which the Phantom much preferred to the original… It’s been included in Phantom Circuit #26, along with interviews, live tracks and more from Supersonic. Have a listen.
Here are some photographs of the Memory Band in the studio. We hope they’ll be back!
Update: the audio appears to have been deleted from the station’s site. Our photos are still available.
Bloody hell, what a busy weekend we had. In this programme we offer just some of the treats that Phantom Circuit and the rest of the Rhubarb Radio team found for you at the Supersonic festival.
Wonders in this show include exclusive interviews with Goblin and with the Dirty Electronics Ensemble, live recordings of Nisenenmondai and Zu plus a song by The Memory Band played on the spur of the moment just for you in the main Rhubarb Radio studio!
And there is so much more to come… Yep, what a busy weekend.

The Phantom Circuit was wired all weekend, rushing around as a component of Rhubarb Radio’s coverage of the Supersonic festival. Now it feels rather disassembled but will be put together in time for a new edition tomorrow!
Many great acts played, of course, but it was particularly nice to meet some of the people behind the music and those with a passion for it.
And of course, it was an unexpected treat to be able to interview the headliners, Goblin. You’ll be able to hear that interview again in tomorrow’s show along with other selections from the live broadcast.
